Our Story
Formerly known as Senior Life Resources Northwest, Generational Care was built on a legacy of compassion that began in 1974.
For more than fifty years, we’ve walked beside individuals and families throughout Southeastern Washington and into Nez Perce County, Idaho, offering care that brings comfort, connection, and dignity through every season of life.
What started as a small group serving meals has grown into a network of programs that bridge generations and strengthen communities:
Mid-Columbia Meals on Wheels nourishes body and spirit through food and friendship.
Home Care Services empowers independence through trusted, in-home support.
Healthy Ages promotes wellness, education, and caregiver confidence.
Each program is part of a shared mission, connecting health, home, and heart for everyone we serve.
Our Name & Growth
The name Generational Care reflects who we have become and who we continue to be.
While our history began with a focus on older adults, our reach now extends naturally to caregivers, families, and neighbors of every age.
Care has no boundaries, it reaches across generations, honoring those who came before while nurturing those who follow.
Healthy Ages, one of our most recent additions, embodies that connection through health education, Medicare guidance, and community wellness programs. It reminds us that good health isn’t only physical it’s rooted in community and belonging.
